This article reveals the meaning of the adaptation and implementation of the Suggested Curriculum of English (CSI) in the District Schools of Bogotá. It was born from the need of a group of teachers to adapt and implement the CSI in a particular educational institution and from their common desire to improve their pedagogical practices and the results of the students in the Saber 11º Test. The documentary review seeks to provide a basis for the CSI and opens the door to a possible evaluation of it.
